This lap steel is an early-2010s instrument crafted by Victoria, B.C. archtop builder Andy Nezil, combining figured maple wings with a mahogany center block for a clear, resonant tone that balances bright treble definition with warm midrange. The single-coil DeArmond goldfoil pickup provides a vintage-style output with sweet, bell-like clarity and a slightly compressed, mid-forward character when driven.
Construction details include an ebony tailpiece and a single master volume control, keeping the signal path simple and immediate for slide work and pedalboard use.
