Recommended for players of any experience, age 13 and up. We also recommend purchasing a clip-on tuner, capo, and a footrest for classical players to make sure you’re fully equipped for class.
A classical guitar uses nylon strings, the lowest three wound with silver, for a much softer, warmer tone than the steel on your typical acoustic guitar. The fretboard is wider top to bottom, leaving more space between the strings to accommodate certain styles of playing like classical, flamenco, fingerstyle, and many older genres. Some players also find the lower tension of nylon strings to simply be more comfortable for their hands. All laminate wood, making it durable and easy to maintain for the duration of your rental.
Your teacher may also call this a nylon, folk, or Spanish guitar.
