The Gibson Custom Shop Limited Edition Hummingbird 12-String (2011) in Vintage Cherry is an exceptionally rare instrument, with only 40 units ever produced. This square-shoulder dreadnought follows the classic Hummingbird recipe, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top with hand-scalloped X-bracing paired with mahogany back and sides to deliver a lush, chorus-like jangle and warm, balanced projection. Its distinguished aesthetic is defined by the vibrant Vintage Cherry nitrocellulose finish, an engraved hummingbird-motif pickguard, and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays on a rosewood fingerboard. Designed for modern playability, it includes a wider 1.875-inch nut to comfortably accommodate the extra strings, a round mahogany neck, and reliable mini Grover tuners.
