This Gibson F9 Master Model F-style mandolin from 2002 features a hand-carved solid spruce top with an increasingly rare amber finish and a traditional F-style body silhouette. Its back and sides are solid, hand-carved maple, producing a bright, focused tone with strong projection and clear note definition. The instrument features an ebony fingerboard that offers a smooth playing surface and crisp string-to-fret response.
