The 2011 Taylor 214ce-G is a versatile Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar that balances premium aesthetics with a signature bright, clear tone. This model specifically features a solid Sitka spruce top with a polished gloss finish (denoted by the "G") and layered Indian rosewood back and sides, which provide a rich, projected sound and added durability. Its Venetian cutaway offers easy access to the upper frets of the ebony fingerboard, while the slim mahogany neck ensures comfortable playability for both fingerstyle and strumming. For live performance, the guitar is equipped with Taylor's integrated electronics, allowing for a natural, amplified acoustic voice with simple controls for volume, bass, and treble.
