Built with Taylor's signature Grand Auditorium body shape and a smooth Venetian cutaway, this model features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with laminated Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering an articulate, balanced tone with strong midrange projection and crisp treble "zing". This 2008 iteration of the 214ce is appointed with a traditional rosewood fingerboard and bridge, a mahogany neck, satin finish, and tasteful tortoise pickguard.
