Named after Iris co-founder, Adam Buchwald, the AB is the 4th model in our line-up. Introduced in 2020, it’s modeled on the J-185 and would be considered a small jumbo.
“While working at Retrofret Vintage Guitars in Brooklyn, NY there were many vintage guitars that passed through the shop that we all bonded with. I’ll never forget a 1954 Gibson J-185 that was in the shop and up for sale. I would go into the showroom and play it everyday until it sold. It was the perfect size and shape and fit perfectly in my lap with the tight waist. It was so lightly built, extremely responsive, and so easy to play. It still remains one of the best guitars I have ever played. After releasing the CH and DF, we decided to name each guitar after someone who worked in the shop, and since this was the next one on the list, I couldn’t help myself and had to name it the AB.” - Adam Buchwald
