Handcrafted in Burlington, Vermont, the Iris DF Model Acoustic-Electric Guitar delivers a powerful, vintage-inspired slope-shoulder dreadnought design named after co-founder Dale Fairbanks. Modeled after classic 1930s Kalamazoo-era instruments, it features a solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, and an open-pore natural satin nitrocellulose finish that lets the tonewoods breathe and project fully. The guitar yields a rich, warm voice with a strong low-end response and lively midrange clarity across its 25-inch scale length. Equipped with a factory-installed K&K Pure Mini pickup, it seamlessly captures the guitar's raw acoustic grit and resonant depth for direct-to-PA performance without compromising its classic analog feel.
All instruments from the Old Town School Music Store are professionally evaluated in our climate-controlled storefront before shipping, and directly support the missions, programs, and continued growth of the Old Town School of Folk Music.
